Assessing your IE Day program

Discuss the outcome of your participation at leadership level.

If you are a church, possible questions include:

• Are there members in your church or group already involved in web evangelism? How can you help and support them, and make them feel that their efforts are owned by the whole fellowship?
• Do any members of your church or group wish to become involved in online outreach? What help, support and training do they need?
• Does your church have a website? How can it be made more accessible and welcoming to non-Christians?
• Can your church consider ways of supporting Christian organizations involved in online outreach? Such work is often seen as less exotic than overseas mission outreach, and staff may find it much harder to raise financial or prayer support.

If you are a missionary or evangelistic agency, consider:

• How can our mission start online outreach? Should we establish a ‘Cybermissions Department’ for evangelism and discipleship?
• How might it integrate with our existing face-to-face ministry in different locations. (See web-evangelism.com/mission-agencies.php for ideas on this.)
• How can we train and enable our staff for online evangelism and discipleship? Can we use volunteers or retired staffers for email counseling and followup?
• To whom should a ‘Cybermissions Department’ be responsible. Where might it be located? How could it relate to multiple mission fields and departments?
• Are there security implications?

If you are a training agency, issues include:

• Is there a need for us to train people in web evangelism?
• Can we include web evangelism modules within our existing courses?
• Can we offer distance learning?
• Can we offer a short-term block of training seminars?
• Can we offer part-time (evening or weekend) classes or seminars?
• Where can we find trainers to teach this material, since web evangelism is such a new discipline?
